Infographic: Do You Have What It Takes To Be Successful?

Do you fly by the seat of your pants or blame others for your failures? Or, are you someone who compliments others, has a sense of gratitude and exudes joy?

The first question suggests you fall in the category of “unsuccessful people.” The latter reveals traits characteristic of “successful people.”

Take a look at this infographic from MaryEllen Tribby and see which side of the scale you fit in. Are you successful?

Successful VS Unsuccessful People

So now that you’ve taken a look, which attributes are characteristic of your personality? Successful ones, I hope! Please share them (or add to MaryEllen’s list) in the comment section below. I’d love to hear from you. Thanks.

  1. Hi Debra! Nice to see you again. What powerful lists! They make sense, too. I can imagine how those characteristics, combined, could lead one way or the other.

    • Thanks Anna, nice to see you here too! I recently presented a teleseminar where I talked about the importance of being grateful and taking responsibility for one’s self (and lots more). So, I was pleased to see both these traits on the “successful people” side of MaryEllen’s infographic.
      Have a great day.

  2. I saw this infographic a while back and I find it really interesting and eye-opening. Thanks for sharing it and reminding me to pay attention to some of those, so that I don’t get back to my old habits and patterns!
And as for your question – I constantly focus on having only the ones on the left 😉 and I believe that I’m doing quite a good job, hehe.
Thanks again and have a great day!

    • Happy to be a reminder for you Renata. I think we all want to strive for the characteristics on the left of the infographic.
And, it’s great that you’re doing a good job of it. Here’s to your sweet success, you successful person, you! 🙂
      Thanks!

  3. Thanks, Debra for sharing. I love the graphic. Explains it all plain and simple. I like to think that I’m Or, are someone who compliments others, has a sense of gratitude and exudes joy. It wasn’t always that way, but now I always make a very conscious effort to be kinder and more encouraging. Thanks for the visual 🙂

    • You’re welcome Kerry. How cool that you’ve made the choice to be a kinder, gentler person. I think you’ll agree that when you treat others that way, you’ll likely be treated the same in return.
      Keep it up! Thanks. ~Debra

  5. Hi Debra. Good to see your new post! I’m on the left side list and will continue to work on it. 🙂

I am going to make note of this post whenever a coaching client needs an infographic explanation of what might possibly be holding them back in their career.

Happy Independence Day to you and your entire family.
